  • Can I come from ______ to attend?
    Absolutely. We would be honored to have people from other towns/cities come to one of our events.
  • What is the dress code?
    For our balls, our dress code is Fantasy/Creative Black Tie. Think royal-core and ballgowns. We have a gallery page on our website with inspiration for the upcoming event(s).
  • What is the age restriction for your events?
    Our events are 18+. You need photo ID to enter. We will be checking IDs at the door along with your tickets. No ID, no entry, no exceptions. Please expect to have to show your ID a second time if you choose to purchase alcohol.
  • Are you coming to _______ city? Will you?
    We're currently running an event in Calgary and one in Edmonton. We've had numerous requests for places especially BC and Montreal. If Alberta events are well attended, we will look into other provinces.
  • What if I have no one to go with or have social anxiety?
    We know it can be tough when you're coming by yourself or feeling anxious about attending. A great way to feel more confident is to get in touch with others who are also attending. Lots of people come to our events alone! We will be seating solo-attendees next to other solo-attendees whenever possible. We are looking at creating a group chat on discord in the months leading up to the event so people can get to know one another.
  • When Do Tickets Go On Sale?
    Check the event page for a count down. If there isn't one? They are already on sale or sold out.
  • Where can I buy tickets?
    A link to the tickets is available both on those event pages, and on our home page.
  • I bought a ticket (including early bird tickets) can I get a refund?
    Tickets can be refunded minus up to 10$ administration fee per ticket (varies depending on original ticket cost). This is due to the administration charges from our ticket processing company. Refunds can be requested via email. They may take up to two business days to process.
  • Will there be food? Drinks? Alcohol?
    Our events do provide food, as cities and venues have different catering options, you will have to read under a specific event to determine what your ticket includes. Alcohol/drinks will be available for purchase and is not included. The individual events will tell you whether or not you need cash or card for purchasing drinks.
  • What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?
    Please fill out our allergies / dietary restrictions form. It gives us the information we need to pass along to our caterers. We will do our best working with the catering to ensure that we can accommodate your dietary restrictions. We cannot guarantee that food has not been cross contaminated. Mythical Quest Productions and the venues of our events hold no responsibility for food related accidents, incidents or allergic reactions at any of our balls.
  • How does seating work?
    About 8-12 weeks prior to the event we will send out an email asking which other attendees you wish to be sat with so we can do up a seating plan. In the email we will confirm the maximum number of seats available per table (approx 6-8).If for some reason you miss responding to this, we will slot you in as best we can.
  • Will there be photography at your events?
    We will have a photographer throughout the event taking candid photos to capture all your favorite moments. You are welcome to approach our photographer night of if you wish to pose for a picture. You will have free access to all photos taken on the night of.
  • Can I have more details on the VIP mini-photo shoot?
    VIPs get early entrance to our balls. During this time between VIP entry and regular entry time, they will have a small photo shoot with our photographer. This is an opportunity to pose with any characters (NPCs) or authors from the evening. If you arrive at the general entry time or late, you will miss out on this. If you've purchased a VIP ticket you will be emailed to sign up for your mini-photo shoot a few weeks before the event asking you a few questions. Please fill this out.
  • What if I have an idea or want to collaborate?

  • What about copyright?
    Our events are not based off any specific books or series due to copyright. While we take inspiration from the balls in our favorite novels, all our characters and story lines are originals written by one of our organizers.
  • What if I want to be a character at one of your events?
